Development and validation of nanostructured medicated biomaterials for the treatment and regeneration of metastatic bone tissue
The project aims to develop and validate medicated biomimetic devices starting from cutting-edge technologies in the tissue regeneration sector, including porous implants with hierarchically organized structure and morphological-structural and biomechanical characteristics of natural bone, calcium-based injectable pastes. phosphates mixed with natural polymers, and implants derived from biomorphic transformation processes with unique structural properties. The final objective will be the validation of the devices, and specifically their capacity for integration, osteosynthesis and treatment of tumor cells, in ex vivo bone metastasis samples.
