BRINGING DIGITAL TWINS TO MANUFACTURING SMES
The project, belonging to the I4MS initiative and funded by the European Union under Horizon 2020, supports manufacturing SMEs in their attempts to digitize by using digital twins. A digital twin is a digital copy of an artifact, process or service, so accurate that it can be used as a basis for making decisions. Digital copy is often linked to the physical sphere via data streams. The Change2Twin project provides manufacturing SMEs with a tailor-made solution that includes an analysis of their potential, a personalized mentoring plan and a ready-to-use recipe for the use of digital twin. In this process, the Digital Innovation Hubs and the Competence Centers are key partners that will facilitate the dissemination throughout the European Union of the latest technologies based on the digital twin.
DIH-ER role: Certified DIH to support companies in the configuration of Digital Twinning scenarios and the related implementation of technological solutions
Opportunities for manufacturing companies: possibility of accessing cascade funding calls (through “Assessment Voucher” of € 10,000 and “Deployment Voucher” of € 90,000) for the development of possible digital twinning scenarios and for the implementation of technological solutions
Opportunities for technology providers: possibility to access the Marketplace by qualifying as a Digital Twin provider solutions
