STE Engineering was established earlier in the 1965: founder Guido Moiraghi is recognised has one of the pioneer of radiofrequency in Italy were, among the few, introduced radio communication products for voice and data transmission for civil and military applications (aircraft, ground and naval). Provided of an excellent RF design in-house center, STE has recently placed an innovative set of IP family with the intent of promoting an advanced energy efficient and cost effective standard applied to wireless sensors. The micro.sp® Technology, this is the name of the new technology, implements innovative approaches to ASSP concepts, energy efficiency, cost effectiveness and hardware integration. Among its key factors are the extreme reduction of the duty cycle and reduced mechanical form factor. STE, through micro.sp®, has been first to introduce concept of “COTS” (Component Off the Shelf) to energy efficient and ubiquitous wireless sensors applied to TPMS in tire and for the “whites”.

Partner's role
STE will specify the operative conditions of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System and will guide the technological choices of the developed energy autonomy solutions to meet the needs and constraints of this application (WP1). It will actively participate in the integration of mechanical harvesters with the microbattery (WP5), and will explore the exploitation paths of such solutions in its application domain (WP6).
