Electrolux Italia S.p.A., with 5.000 employees, is a historic European leader in household appliances for Research, Design and Manufacturing. The Company is controlled by the Swedish Electrolux AB which is a global leader in household appliances and similar equipment for professional use, selling more than 40 million of products in 150 countries. Electrolux products include refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines cookers, vacuum cleaner and air‐conditioners, sold under estimated brands such as Electrolux, AEG, Zanussi, Eureka, Frigidaire. The global net sales in the 2011 fiscal year were around 11.3 billion € (8% of Electrolux Italia). Electrolux Italia has highly skilled research departments supporting the entire Electrolux Group R&D activities (e.g. GTC – Global Technology Centre, equipped with most advanced SW and HW tools). The Company strategy consists in the development of innovative consumer‐oriented products with lower environmental impact and energy saving. Partner's role
The Electrolux role is mainly to provide industrial requirements for micro energy‐harvesting applications and to define a realistic test case scenario for the validation and assessment of newly developed solutions and their future applications to the white goods both in products and in manufacturing processes.
